Designer and researcher Liene Kazaka shared her experience with the Myco Colour project, telling us how she became friends with a blue mushroom and why this type of interaction is important for creating more sustainable artistic practices. Liene, in conversation with designer and material explorer Heleen Sintobin, shared her experience with fungi, telling about how she learned to recognise different fungi temperaments. Participants learnt some home lab hacks by preparing their own micro-universe in a petri dish, which they took home to further observe the growth of mushroom mycelium and the other microorganisms present.
