Soowon Chae is a Korean conceptual and material designer based in Eindhoven. Rather than following a linear path from research project to conclusion, he sees a project as a perpetual query, building up to an idea. In his work, he reinterprets and re-evaluates the authentic values of those who are underrepresented and marginalized. Through narrative-building and design, he expresses his ideas with respect to the most primitive and pristine beauty of nature, the human-nature relationship, and human’s innate creativity.
