Jan van Eyck Academie

As a foundation, the institute (Stichting Van Eyck) is established under the laws of the Netherlands with its seat in Maastricht and registered office at Academieplein 1, 6211KM MAASTRICHT, The Netherlands. The Jan van Eyck Academie is recognized by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Sciences as a centre of excellence within the cultural field in the Netherlands.


  1. Donation: any asset, including any monetary amount, gifted by a Donor to the Future Materials Bank of the Jan van Eyck Academie, by means of electronic authorisation through the website of the Future Materials Bank or otherwise.

  2. Donor: a natural or legal person who donates, has donated, or will donate a Donation to the Future Materials Bank, run by the Jan van Eyck Academie.


  1. These General Terms and Conditions apply to every Donation.

  2. By making a Donation, the Donor agrees to these General Terms and Conditions.

  3. The Jan van Eyck Academie uses the personal data of each Donor to process its Donation. The Privacy Policy of the Jan van Eyck applies to the processing of this personal data by the Jan van Eyck.


  1. By making a Donation, a Donor agrees that the Jan van Eyck and any, and all (future) subsidiaries and/or affiliates of the Jan van Eyck are entitled to use a Donation at their own discretion, within the scope of the Goal and the articles of association of the FMB and the Jan van Eyck. The Jan van Eyck agrees that this money will be spent to maintain and grow the Future Materials Bank.

  2. A Donation is irrevocable.

  3. Recurring Donations can be cancelled upon request by the Donor, by contacting via email administration@janvaneyck.nl

  4. Stichting Van Eyck is registered with the Tax Authorities as a Cultural Public Benefit Institution (Cultural ANBI). Learn more about tax benefits for Donors here.

  5. The Jan van Eyck Academie will provide any Donor with a donation certificate upon request by the Donor.

Final provisions

  1. The jurisdiction sector of the relevant district court in the Netherlands is to judge all disputes which may arise between the Jan van Eyck and a Donor concerning a Donation.

  2. Dutch law applies to a Donation and these general terms and conditions.
